| SPOT FISH - Can't resist blood worms. They are found throughout the bay and river in the spring, summer, and fall. They are lots of fun to catch. They are bottom feeders. They always make a fall run where the quantities of fish are greater and their size is the best of the year. In the fall they can weight as much as a pound. The larger ones are often call Yellow Bellies. Use a small piece of bloodworm on a small hook. Fresh shrimp works well too. Spot are great to eat fried and broiled! Probably the best tasting fish the bay has to offer. They can be frozen and are good when thawed (Some fish taste bad after they are frozen). They are also good king bait. |
